The Chief Data Analytics Office is accountable for developing Group’s data strategy, data policy & standards, governance and set requirements for data enablers/tools. The team is also accountable to facilitate a community of practitioners to share best practice and build data talent and capabilities.

To ensure the Group achieves sustainable competitive advantage through data & analytics, you will need to play a key role in supporting the CDO in executing to the Groups data strategy.

Gather and analyse business requirements providing leadership and innovative solutions for IT systems.

Accountable for all business analysis activities across initiatives including engaging with stakeholders to understand their business and use case.

This will include sound knowledge of the Groups data strategy, architecture and technology roadmap, aligning CDO business needs.

This role reports to a Module Lead and is key member of the team responsible for all analysis work.

In your role as a Data Technical BA, you will be required to maintain and build productive relationships with the following individuals:

- Key Stakeholders including Product Owner
- Delivery Leads including Project Managers/ Solution Delivery Managers
- Solution Architects
- Design and QA Team
- Engineers
- System SMEs
- Business Teams
- Other Technical Business Analysts
- Data Owner / Data Steward

**Your responsibilities**

You will be expected to perform the following tasks and responsibilities in a manner consistent with CBA's Values and People Capabilities.
- **Core Responsibilities**
- Ensure technology solutions are aligned with the Groups enterprise architecture
- Complete project work stream deliverables including quality control/sign off for area of accountability.
- Workshop business and data requirements with key stakeholders.
- Provide support in tasks related to business and data analysis.
- Convert business needs into functional designs using knowledge of data warehousing and Big Data architecture and processes.
- Identify project delivery issues and risks, assist with mitigation strategies, and escalate where necessary.
- Provide support and participate in testing activities including unit testing, BA testing and system testing ensuring adequate project coverage.

- Effectively prioritise work and deliverables according to specified timeframes.
- Analyse and document business/functional processes and requirements using standard analysis methodologies and tools.
- Evaluate effectiveness of solution delivery (SDLC) tools, processes and methodologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by your manager that you have the capability to perform safely in line with relevant internal Bank policies and external regulatory requirements.

**Your skills & experience
**Skills**
- **Stakeholder management **- advanced ability and extensive experience managing large and varied stakeholder groups across levels, and influencing group-wide change
- **Change management **- knowledge of organisational change management, and proven ability to initiate and lead change, and drive good team culture
- **Leadership **- advanced ability influencing varied stakeholder groups, and inspiring large, diverse group of data and analytics professionals around a vision and a unified way to consume data
- **Communication **- expert oral and written communication skills with ability to lead discussions with a varied stakeholder across levels
- **Problem solving **- advanced conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills to analyse complex information for key insights and present as meaningful information to senior management.
- **Risk Mindset **-All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.

**Experience**
- Experience gained in a large and complex enterprise environment ideally within financial services, Telecommunications, Utility or similar large enterprise.
- Experience working in medium to large projects (~400k+)
- Experience in both Data loads requirements as well as reporting and extract requirements.
- Data Analysis Skills - looking into large amounts of data to analyse, map, and assess for impacts.
- Knowledge of NoSQL
- Data Warehousing experience.
- The Ability to work in an AGILE environment. Experience in an Agile environment is highly regarded.
- Teradata skills/knowledge.
- Medium Level SQL Experience - Ability to read scripts and write SQL in order
