**Business & Team**:
The Workflow Crew is responsible for driving the architecture, design, build and governance roadmap across the group for various workflow technologies especially Pega. This is your opportunity to join an established company where there is a focus on personal and professional development.

**Impact & contribution**

Lead and provide design of various initiatives across the Workflow Capability in providing flexibility to meet the needs of workflow projects hosted OnPrem & on AWS, offering services from the bottom (infrastructure/ software) to the top (business casing/ POC/ solutioning) or individual expertise (design/ built/ test/ run). Innovate various components aligned with Tech Strategy/Dev SecOps & Engineering Tooling etc.

The Workflow Principal Engineer must maintain and build productive relationships with the following individuals:

- Crew Lead
- Product Owners
- Chapter Leads
- Architects
- Delivery teams

**Roles & Responsibilities**

As a Principal Software Engineer, the primary purpose of the role is to lead, drive, promote, engineer and implement solutions. To drive and continuously improve the tools and process that automate the delivery of code through Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines which include the build, the testing and deployment capabilities of these pipelines.
- Design and implement solution and specifications under Workflow technology. Ownership and governance of Workflow designs
- Adopt a ‘Design to Run’ mentality to architect robust solutions that are fully supportable in a production environment.
- Provide developmental advice and consult for business case/ideation, discovery, inception and enhancement requests by examining current vs target architectures ensuring align with CBA & Workflow strategy and architecture standards
- Collaborate with Solution Architecture and functional SME’s to prototype solutions to explore alternatives, seeking simple & standard solutions with a low cost of ownership
- Collaborate with upstream and downstream system representatives to ensure an integrated end to end solution is delivered to achieve the desired outcomes
- Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement of Core Product systems and data to leverage existing capabilities
- Lead the integration of the latest AI trends and technologies to develop scalable and innovate solutions for business challenges.
- Work with senior technical and business management teams in identifying issues of current state architecture, developing target state architecture with the ability to communicate the features and benefits
- Effectively lead and influence business partners, peers, team members and vendors
- Identifies and engages stakeholders, including architecture disciplines, asset owners, delivery owner, business stakeholders and SMEs to ensure architecture is optimal, and has the greatest chance of success
- Effectively challenges business leaders to obtain the best technology solutions and fit with workflow strategy
- Act as an escalation, advice, and decision-making point for Workflow Platform Architecture.
- Review and contribute to reference architecture and platform initiative involving workflow.
- Provide specialized expertise and development using Java, JEE and Pega Platform
- Expert troubleshooting of implementation, environment and deployment issues.
- Establish new ways of working and promote DevOps culture of CI/CD pipelines and Automation supported by world-class tools
- Have expertise in managing Pega workflow based technical environments
- Expertise to define and effectively communicate a long-term technical vision

**Essential Skills**
- Pega CLSA Certification - Must Have.
- 16+ Years of industry experience in PEGA and AWS.
- Significant experience in designing and building high available and resilient systems
- Prior experience with Tech modernization journey of a Bank/Financial Services firms
- Various hosting patterns like Pega SaaS, AWS, Azure.
- Cloud domain knowledge - AWS/Azure Certification (Must Have)
- Proficient at SQL and working with other larger volume in data
- Experience with debugging and tuning performance issues
- Thorough understanding of large-scale distributed systems, solution design and architecture principles
- Technical leader who can be relied upon to develop and lead engineers
