Finance Analyst, Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience with data analysis, spreadsheets, and financial modeling.
- Experience in the technology industry, strategy consulting, corporate finance, or similar industry in an analytical role.

Preferred qualifications:

- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets; familiarity with SQL and analytical experience working with large volumes of data.
- Driven self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and can self-direct work in an unstructured environment.
- Sound business judgment, analytical skills and problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Ability to craft and deliver a message with credibility to influence senior leadership.

As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

With your analytics and financial acuity, you'll liaise between the Finance team with the functional areas it supports. You resolve issues related to forecasting, planning, resource prioritization and business profitability, and you help translate analyses into easy-to-understand presentations.

The Partnerships Business Finance team is a strategic business partner to the Global Partnerships (GP) organization. GP builds meaningful relationships that power extraordinary user experiences, advance partners’ goals, and further Google’s mission. They help build, grow, and distribute Google products through partnerships across various Google product areas. They also help publishers and developers grow their businesses through monetization solutions, playing a major role in helping partners navigate change that delivers economic and reputational value.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

**Responsibilities**:

- Engage in deep-dive analyses to provide the Global Partnership management with clear insights and recommendations into the business, market trends, risks and opportunities utilising data-driven techniques and tools (R, SQL, Tableau, etc).
- Support critical financial processes such as business forecasting and goal setting.
- Provide finance guidance on commercial and economic values of strategic deals to ensure they are driving value for the business
- Support the operation of commercial deals from a finance perspective, including deal modeling, performance tracking, deal governance and strategy.
