Join our team as **Banquet Supervisor **in **InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay **. You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. Reporting to the Club InterContinental Manager, we’re looking for someone who:
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure all InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay meetings and events are well-executed, upholding the high standards of the IHG brand. Additionally, the position is tasked to capture synergies and share best practices across all divisions to drive efficiencies and continuous improvements, and potential economies of scale. The Banquet Supervisor oversees all aspects of a banquet or event, including set-up, food presentation, serving, and clean-up while focusing on detail and quality presentation and customer service.

Responsibilities.
- Approaches all encounters with guests and colleagues in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Maintains constant communication with guests and on-site contact to ensure all expectations are met or exceeded
- Remains alert of complaints and or/unsatisfied guests and responds appropriately to ensure guest satisfaction
- Coordinates with other departments to arrange for the delivery of requested services.
- Maintains constant contact with kitchen staff to ensure complete effective communication between food production and foodservice
- Ensures all functions are set and staff is prepared and organized before required time on BEO
- Inspects table place settings, including table linen, chinaware, glass, silverware, meeting pads, pens, and condiments for correct placement and ensures that each element is clean, undamaged, and attractive
- Ensures proper setting of buffet/meeting tables and other food service tables
- Arranges for and ensures the proper sequence of service for each event
- Supervises clearing and post function clean-up and garbage removal
- Maintains clean and orderly back areas, pre-function areas, and storage area
- Assures that all chinaware, glassware, silverware, linen, etc are returned to their proper location after each event
- Supervises the handling, storage, and security of all catering/meeting service equipment and decor
- Assists with staff training programs
- Conducts regular staff meetings to build rapport and ensures colleagues are well-informed projects the visions of the department and measures progress
- Upkeeping of all Audio Visual equipment in the meeting spaces and reporting any damages
- Reviews scheduling and labor needs to meet the guest’s needs as well as maximize efficiency
- Work with the Executive Chef to ensure appropriate inventories are stocked including food and beverage and non-food and beverage items used for Food and Beverage events.
- Work with the Event/Sales Manager(s) to ensure quality and accuracy of set-ups within all meeting rooms.
- Manage operational and administrative functions to ensure events are delivered efficiently
- Ensure proper communication with all staff regarding event goals, responsibilities, and shifting priorities

**What we need from you**

The Banquet Supervisor executes events while ensuring that all logistics requirements are carried out according to the event plans. He/she manages the event plans and works closely with other departments to ensure that all operational requirements of the events are fulfilled. He/she is detailed and resourceful and possesses excellent problem-solving skills and is able to react quickly to deviations in the event plans.

He/she works in a flexible workweek, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays, and is comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, depending on the nature of the events.
