Manager, Demand Analyst

Role Summary

The Demand Analyst role will report to the Global Demand Analytics Lead of the Global Demand Intelligence (GDI) organization and will be part of the operationalization of the new central statistical forecasting model leveraging new solutions and algorithms built by the capability owners aimed at leveraging technology & automation to implement intelligent demand flow through the PGS network.

This role will be responsible for demand forecasting of suitable portfolio, focusing on delivering data driven forecasting decisions based on analytical models/algorithms and extracting new insights from data leveraging statistical solutions to enable a truly Demand-Driven Supply Chain.

The role has broad operational responsibilities for the items listed above ranging from leading demand analysis & statistical forecasting activities to market collaboration.

Role Responsibilities- Develop and maintain demand plans for targeted SKUs using Time Series Forecasting leveraging a range of statistical, regression & Machine Learning models- Manage exceptions using designed reports/workflows by focusing on finding accurate forecasting solutions simulating multiple models- As the market interface in demand analytics team, translate market intelligence into demand scenarios focusing on major assumptions and historical data analysis- Having demand forecasting KPI accountability, lead continuous improvement initiatives running root cause analysis and collaborating with relevant stakeholder- Leverage demand data statistical analysis & visualization tools to gather insights and exchange with downstream & upstream partners in supply chain- Support GDI Data Science team in refinement of existing models and development of new generation Machine Learning models- Provide support developing new mechanisms to continually review historical demand and identify patterns across markets and portfolios. Exchange learnings and implement them for improvement.

**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in operations management, industrial engineering or related field- 5+ years of experience in Demand Planning / Supply Chain / Materials Management / Operations Management or related field- Broad understanding of the supply chain environment. Relevant operational experience across diverse business portfolio a plus (e.g., Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Products, other industries).- Strong customer service and data quality orientation. Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, and project management skills.- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment with limited direction to complete work assignments accurately and on time, including prioritizing multiple requests for competing projects along with day-to-day customer support.- Proven analytical skills, including technical skills with SAP IBP & Business Intelligence platforms (e.g., SAP BI, Microstrategy) preferred.- Ability to work in a complex matrix organization with strong teamwork orientation required. Ability to work effectively in an environment of competing priorities and deadlines. Proven experience in providing innovative solutions to unusually complex projects/situations.- Must have demonstrated consultative, influencing, analytical, strategic thinking/planning, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication, presentation, business analysis and project management skills are required.- Ability to interact, build effective relationships, and influence peers at different levels of organization.
