**Department: Operations**
**Reports to: Demand Planning Analyst, Operations**
The Operations Department provides support for the smooth and efficient running of the company in executing the Company’s business plans and carrying out the mission statement.
This entails working closely with other departments to provide logístical and process support in meeting agreed targets. The department is responsible to implement and manage strict inventory controls over the movement
of products and proper accounting of transactions, ensuring that the products for sale are readily available and is shipped to the customer in the most effect effective fashion.
The Team Leader will run day-to-day operations, lead the operations team in implementing continuous improvement projects and achieving departmental goals and KPIs.
**Responsibilities**:
**Picking and Packing**
- Print packslips for start of work day
- Ensure that picking and packing efforts are maximized and resources are utilized in the best way possible
- Hand over products to last mile provider
- Update and upload all necessary reports and reconcile manifests
**Physical Inventory Management**
- Assist the Demand Planning Analyst to work with GHQ Demand Planner to monitor and manage inventory
stocking and replenishments to prevent stockouts/overstocking by compiling weekly inventory report using
available data sources and analyzing the data
- Support picking/packing, inbound receiving, outbound releasing and cycle count and stock take activities
- Perform system transactions in ERP and ensure inventory accuracy and data integrity
- Plan and optimize storage space efficiency and manpower productivity
**People Management**
- Lead a team of Operations Assistants to achieve departmental KPIs
- Regular coaching and bi-annual performance reviews
- Plan for and assist with employee programs and ensure performance objectives are outlined and completed
thoroughly and in a timely manner
- Create a strong positive culture and engagement within the warehouse team
- Work with the corporate office to foster a strong sense of connection to the wider team, given that the warehouse is at a different location
**Supplier and Stakeholder Relationships**
- Maintain productive relationships with suppliers, third-party service providers and internal stakeholders
- Liaise with Member Services team on order processing and member feedback/complaints
- Cross functional lead for last mile provider order issues (returns, damages, investigations on lost parcel etc)
- Last mile provider billing of damage and loss
- Last mile provider returns (unsuccessful delivery and delivery rejections)
**Process Documentation and Continuous Improvement**
- Participate in projects, business initiatives and support process enhancements.
- Constant review to improve warehouse operations and productivity, risk assessments and improvement initiatives
- Ensure that critical workflows are explicitly documented to ensure consistency in workload and business continuity
**Financial Governance**
- Assist the Assistant Manager to monitor and manage operating costs within departmental budget
- Exhibit financial prudence in purchasing decisions
**Other ad hoc duties as assigned**
**Job Qualification Requirements**:
- At least a diploma or degree in any discipline
- At least 3 years working experience in a supervisory role. Third party logistics experience is advantageous
- Resource planning skills
- Problem solving skills
- Communication and leadership skills
- Meticulous with good time management
- Knowledge of WMS/ERP software. JDE experience is advantageous
- Working knowledge of Excel is a must
- Pleasant disposition and enjoys interacting with people
