
Assistant / Contracts Manager

Assist directors/project lead to lead and guide the quantity surveying team in contracts administration to ensure quality and timeliness in delivery of their assigned tasks and responsibilities
- Advise and resolve requests for equitable adjustment, contract disputes and contract claims with client/consultants and subcontractors
- Prepare Extension of Time and prolongation costs claims
- Prepare and monitor project cost budget, cash-flow cash-flow for project, track changes in design/construction work, variations and adjust budget projections accordingly
- Assist to oversee and manage main contract progress claim and subcontract payment including variations claim
- Work closely with the project team and oversee the quantity surveying team in the analysis, evaluation and negotiations of quotations, to ensure timely award of subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensure timely finalization of main and subcontract
- Any other duties that may be assigned
**REQUIREMENTS/ COMPETENCIES**
- Degree/Diploma in Projects & Facilities Management or Building, Construction Management, Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably with A1 Building Contractors, in managing private residential, institutional, commercial, industrial projects, etc.
- Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and methodical approach to work
- Well-versed in both public and private sector Conditions of Contract, and construction law in Singapore
- Excellent written, communication and negotiation skills
- Great leadership in managing and guiding staff
- Able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to learn new specialist software
