Shiok Meats is looking for a Head of Cell Line Development to lead the Cell Line Development Team, focusing on developing, screening and characterizing crustacean cell lines for scaleup and commercialization. The position will be based in Singapore, with opportunities for collaboration across R&D groups in Singapore, Australia and Thailand. **Required background**:

- Ph.D.in Biology/Life Sciences or related field.

**Preferred experience**:

- At least 5 years of relevant research experience and 2 years in managing research teams.
- Experience with developing mammalian/seafood/invertebrate cell culture, specifically stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), embryonic stem cells (ESC).
- Experience in planning, overseeing and leading multiple projects from ideation to completion.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and coordinate the R&D activities of the cell line development team in line with company strategies, and coordinate the efforts of the team with those of other teams or external parties.
- Lead a diverse team of research scientists in planning, executing and troubleshooting of different projects.
- Lead development of multiple pipelines for various species.
- Monitor research progress, schedule and project budget.
- Identify and select relevant technologies and equipment for cell line development research.
- Identify outside vendors and resources where appropriate and oversee external projects required to accomplish project goals.
- Provide guidance to junior scientists or associates.
- Work closely with C-suite and R&D, manufacturing team.
- Communicate results in a timely and effective manner.
- Rigorous documentation of experimental procedures and data.
- Follow health and safety procedures and implement paperwork as required.
- Require to travel frequently to satellite labs located in Thailand, Vietnam and Australia etc
