**Senior Research Scientist (Stem Cell & Cell Line Development)**:
Gaia Foods is on an exciting path of growth and is looking for a Research Scientist (Stem Cell and Cell Line Development) who will work on developing and characterizing cell lines, designing experiments, performing analyses, and building up the cell bank for cultivated red meat.

**Position**:

- Full-time
- Based in Singapore

**Educational Background**:

- PhD in Biological Sciences / Stem Cell Biology / Regenerative medicine or related field

**Experience**:

- At least 2 years in establishing, maintaining, and modifying stem cells (iPSC, ESC), and experience in mammalian cell culture techniques and cell line development
- Mammalian stem cell isolation and generation of integrative and non-integrative induced pluripotent stem (iPS), stem cells and other cells types preferred
- Experience in handling different Mammalian cells including satellite cells, fibroblasts, adipocytes and other cells types preferred.
- Working knowledge of cell, molecular biology or other biological laboratory based techniques are highly preferred.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Derivation and characterization of mammalian stem cells including embryonic, satellite and other stem cells.
- Optimize molecular tools to characterize mammalian cell lines
- Maintain cells in culture including routine media exchange, harvest, and sampling
- Guide the team by training new joinees and junior scientists, motivating them to achieve shared goal of the company
- Establish internal and external quality control tests and partners to align with regulations requirements
- Identify and meet with external vendors and resources where appropriate and oversee external projects required to accomplish project goals
- Rigorous documentation of experimental procedures and data
- Communicate results and data in a timely and effective manner

- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Have great attention to detail and ability to keep comprehensive written records in a lab notebook or batch record
- Have strong communication skills including verbal, written, and scientific data presentation to a variety of audiences
