Professional Education Development Director, Vision

**Purpose**:

- Develop APAC insight driven Professional Strategic Framework fully integrated with JJV Business priorities that drives CL category growth, improves patient outcomes, and ensures safe and effective use of our products across the region.
- Drive high awareness and alignment of strategic focus areas across organization and markets ensuring strong supporting metrics that support NTS and share growth with strong focus on speciality (Astigmatism, Ageing Eye, Myopia Management).
- Ensure the success of new product launches by supporting new product development programs, processes, clinical claims and ECP adoption.
- Partner with internal and external key stakeholders to drive JJV’s Eye Health agenda and build JJV’s professional brand equity in partnership with Government Institutions, Professional Associations, Optometry Academies/Schools and KOLS across Ophthalmology, Optometry & Opticians.
- Ensure high clinical/technical knowledge across sales organisation of disease states and JJV product features and performance benefits through ongoing education and assessment programs.
- Drive efficiency by leveraging and flawlessly executing global professional content and support tools to drive Asia Pacific professional development (e.g., top accounts, KOLs, top optometry schools) and company/product advocacy.
- Ensure compliance to the HCP Professional Operations policy, processes, and procedures and support the implementation and personnel training of the HCP Professional Relationship Operations eco-system for the Asia Pacific.
- Develop and maintain recognized expertise in the field of eye health.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and shape the eye health strategy, partnering with J & J Enterprise, Government, professional associations, schools, and Eye Care Professionals.
- Develop, execute and drive Professional strategy across APAC in line with the company overall objectives.
- Lead recruitment, on-boarding, training/development, and succession planning, as well as foster a high-performance environment and culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Develop strategic partnerships with Industry Associations, Academic Institutions, eye care professional research groups, business owners, senior management, key customer accounts and key opinion leaders in shaping the professional environment and raising standard of care.
- Develop supporting education materials, tool kits, case studies, trials and ensure strong representation in professional publications along with independent speakers briefed to elevate the science behind ACUVUE® and support new product launches.
- Champion & develop internal capability by ensuring appropriate technical and clinical training and reinforcement through knowledge assessments are carried out for internal cross-functional departments.
- Key Leading member of the Copy Clearance process to ensure all technical/clinical information in Johnson & Johnson Vision materials are factually correct and claims are fully substantiated for both internal and external communications.
- Develop curriculum & peer to peer training for Eye Care Professionals with focus on clinical and technical education and science behind JJV products ensuring safe usage and optimal fitting success to patient outcomes and long-term business and category growth.
- Partner with regional marketing & medical affairs team to support development of Professional marketing materials and evidence-based claim substantiation

**Qualifications**:
**Professional and Functional Competencies**:

- Good understanding of Optometry, Ophthalmology profession, clinical practice experience is essential.
- Able to develop strong professional strategies that is aligned with business objectives
- Expertise and clinical understanding of Patient Eye Health Journey
- Strong People leadership & management skills
- Stakeholder Management and maintaining strong connections across local, regional and global teams

**Essential**:

- CL experienced Optometrist, Optician or Ophthalmologist
- Clinic or Retail Experience Preferred
- Advanced clinical/technical knowledge.
- Demonstrable experience of leading, developing, working successfully in a team and managing project teams.
- Budget management skills.
- Strong ethics and objectivity
