Overview
People Services is a part of Mastercard’s Global Business Services Center (GBSC) HR shared service center and is responsible for ensuring support in resolving employee’s HR inquiries and supporting HR programs and processes on a global basis.
- Have you supported a global operations function responding to and resolving employee inquiries, either in HR or another functional area?
- Do you have experience managing resources in a help desk or shared service center environment?
- Are you passionate about supervising daily activities within a department including mentoring, motivating and coaching a team?

- Can you demonstrate your ability to lead thoughtful decision making and be flexible in a fast paced, deadline focused, changing environment?
Role
- Supervises, coaches, and develops a work group/team
- Ensures own team(s) compliance to goal setting and performance appraisal process
- Ensures adherence to established policies, procedures, and service level agreements are met
- Responds to escalated HR inquiries and partners with HR systems team to implement preventative solutions
- Identifies and implements opportunities to improve internal customer support strategies
- Builds and maintains positive work relationships with members of other teams in Global HR and other GBSC functional areas to communicate effectively and to ensure compliance with cross-team responsibilities
- Trains HR tier 1 People Services/Service Center staff
- Manages confidential data in a professional manner according to Mastercard HR privacy code of conduct
- Participates in acquisition integrations from initiation through implementation ensuring compliance from an audit perspective
- Ensures accurate, current and complete information within the internal HR knowledge base
- Operates in partnership with HR teams and colleagues across all regions to ensure the effective delivery of HR support and HR systems related actions

- Ability to lead, coach and motivate organization effectively with proven track record of leading a team in an HR Department
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead groups to complete time-sensitive projects within internal and external deadlines
- Proficient in HR concepts and terminology
- Strong communication, both orally and in writing in a clear and straight-forward manner
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
- Ability to manage the work of a fast paced department
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work with people at all levels in the organization
- Highly organized individual who knows how to develop and maintain excellent working relationships as well as providing customer satisfaction are needed
