**Your New Role**
**What You Can Expect from the Role**
**Key Responsibilities and accountabilities**:
- **Handle local and overseas import and export shipments, including the preparation of documents such as Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin, and Cargo Insurance.
- Negotiate, administer, and review service agreements with carriers, customs brokers, and transportation service providers.
- Manage the end-to-end logistics process, including shipping, receipting, and distribution to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist with inventory management, ensuring stock accuracy (financial & operational).
- Handle customs queries such as duty exceptions, tariffs, etc.
- Conduct analysis of alternate methods of transportation and programs, along with projected cost and service improvements.
- Provide operational support when necessary by performing a range of stock receipt, storage selection, packaging, loading, and shipping activities.
- Provide assistance for closure of any discrepancies or issues in accordance with internal processes.
- Develop an understanding of packaging needs and raise ideas for continuous improvements.
**The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have**
**Essential Criteria**:
- **Minimum Diploma in any discipline with 2 years of experience in logistics operations, especially in last-mile delivery (scheduling/dispatch/coordination).
- Knowledge in handling Dangerous Goods (DG) logistics (IATA DGR and/or IMDG) is an added advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work as a team member.
- Good written and oral skills in English.
- Proficiency in one of the following enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, such as SAP, Oracle Netsuite, Sage, or IFS, is an added advantage.
- Knowledge in continuous improvement methodology and tools.
