Manager, Broadcasting

We are looking for a passionate and professional Manager to join our Broadcasting team.

Based in Singapore and reporting to the Senior Manager, the incumbent will run the broadcast operations to bring in live overseas horse racing events.

**What You'll Do**
- You will run the broadcast operations to bring in live overseas horse racing events and provide live transmission of overseas horse racing events for operations.
- You will adapt to changes in television production and technological trends by keeping up with the latest advances in both areas and make recommendations to SPPL for adoption.
- You will explore new production techniques to be efficient, develop, launch and manage new content, providing research-driven, relevant, correct, unbiased and updated racing content to enhance customer satisfaction.
- You will handle production and broadcasting of SPPL content during local and overseas broadcasts.
- You will oversee all production and staff rostering to ensure smooth running of the Broadcast Operations Centre.
- You will provide and support lottery draws and Sports broadcast as and when required.
- You will assist the Senior Manager to oversee/manage and supervise all production, programming, broadcast engineering operations and administrative operations of the department to ensure smooth operation, with accountability for operational performance.
- You will plan, review and formulate broadcasting strategies and policies for continuous improvements including identification, development and management of new distribution networks, maximizing program outreach on various content platforms and ensure all business initiatives are prioritized and supported.
- You will drive productivity and continuous improvements in the department.
- You will negotiate, execute and manage product content contractual agreements to deliver appropriate content in a timely fashion to ensure all obligations in contracts are met.
- You will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors to enhance contract deliveries are on track and manage service performance with the aim for zero/mínimal disruptions or iron out service lapses within reasonable limits.
- You will participate in the planning, review and implementation of the Company/Division/Department’s strategies and policies, with the primary focus on content management.
- You will be responsible for the preparation and management of department’s forecast of annual expenditure and annual budget, and to ensure the section operates within approved budget parameters.
- You will ensure procurement of equipment and services including specification preparation, evaluation assessment, installation, testing and commissioning and documentation as per Procurement policy.
- You will collaborate with other divisions to understand, develop and execute joint projects/plans to ensure broadcast content optimization and delivery so as to achieve strategic KPIs.
- You will drive individual performance, productivity and growth, appraise job results, coach and identify development needs and facilitate learning needs.

**Who You Are**
- You will need minimum Degree in Film/Mass Communications/Film, Sound & Video/Media Production or related.
- You will need at least 8 years of related experience in broadcast operations/studio directing/art directing/media management and productions/programming/content distribution/ production unit management or related with 4 years in managerial position.
- You should have experience in television script writing, concept development and production (studio and location filming).
- You should have knowledge of the principles of television program syndication/distribution, contract negotiation, procurement and evaluation procedures.
- You should have experience in leadership in strategic planning and delivery of an integrated broadcast operations program.
- You should have knowledge of broadcasting trends, from perspectives of organizational needs and customers, channel management/distribution, content development and monetization.
- You should have a keen interest in sports and/or lottery industry.
- You will need good colour vision and good visual acuity.
- You should be able to understand and resolve production problems at an advanced level.
- You will need a positive attitude, commitment and teamwork spirit, always striving for best results.
- You should be observant and alert, with an eye for details.
