Assistant Manager, Broadcasting

We are looking for a passionate and professional Assistant Manager to join our Broadcasting team.

Based in Singapore and reporting to the Manager, the incumbent will support the broadcast operations and provide live transmission of overseas horse racing events for operations.

**What You'll Do**
- You will support the broadcast operations to bring in live overseas horse racing events and provide live transmission of overseas horse racing events for operations.
- You will plan and publish the broadcasting team rosters in a timely manner following the prevailing regulatory and service requirements.
- You will ensure adequate operators and technical officers are on duty in accordance to the requirements to support the live transmission of overseas horse races / sports / live lottery draws to SPPL’s off-course betting centres, retail and remote customers to watch and place their bets on races and sports events that are taking place in different parts of the world in real-time.
- You will provide support in systems testing as and when required, provide support (layover graphics, pre-post production in live/delayed streaming) during live lottery draws and support in pre/post production works in the daily broadcast operations and broadcast duties.
- You will support the process of sourcing, executing and managing contractual agreements including Starhub and PCCW to deliver and distribute content.
- You will track the section’s contract management process closely to ensure full continuity of content availability and supply to customers and other stakeholders with zero/mínimal lapses.
- You will keep up to date with trends and technology in live-streaming broadcasting for sports/horseracing and lottery around the world so as to identify and evaluate new or evolving yet appropriate broadcasting strategies for SPPL product offerings.
- You will maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors to enhance contract deliveries are on track and manage service performance with the aim for zero/mínimal disruptions or iron out service lapses within reasonable limits.
- You will participate in the planning, review and formulation of Company/Division/Department’s strategies and policies and support the preparation and tracking of department’s annual budget, and to ensure the section operates within approved budget parameters.
- You will work closely with Product Division, Customer and Channels teams to understand, develop and execute joint projects/plans to ensure content optimization and delivery so as to achieve strategic KPIs.

**Who You Are**
- You will need minimum Degree in Film/Mass Communications/Film, Sound & Video/Media Production or related.
- You will need at least 3 years of related experience in broadcast operations/studio directing/art directing/media management and productions/programming/content distribution/production unit management.
- Proficiency in videography and video/image editing software (Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Cinema 4D, FCP, Avid, Final Cut Pro, Sony Vegas Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, and/or After Effects, among others) is required.
- You should have knowledge of broadcasting trends, from perspectives of organizational needs and customers.
- You should have good color vision and good visual acuity.
- You should be observant and alert, with an eye for details.
- You should have a keen interest in sports and/or lottery industry.
- You should have strong project management skills, a customer-focused mindset and good business acumen.
- You will need to be a good team player with a positive attitude.
- You should be able to work rotating shift hours, including weekends and PH, to provide 24/7 support.
