- 6 years of experience in Strategy, Operations, Management Consulting, or equivalent experience in similar role.

- Experience working in emerging markets.
- Experience with partnering effectively on cross-functional projects or teams.
- Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills.
- Data analysis and modeling skills.
**About the job**:
Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.
Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.
There are over three billion people already online, with another billion to come in the next four years. We want each of these users to feel that Google was built for them. The Next Billion User (NBU) Product Area builds products, uncovers human-centered insights, and works to shift Google’s attention to the needs of the next billion. In this role, you will focus on making financial services simple, helpful, and accessible in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop insightful recommendations on strategic direction and specific project opportunities that can move the needle. Perform the related analysis and research of technical and business issues.
- Build models and perform analysis to support the business, including financial models, market/industry models, and operational analytics.
- Build consensus among cross-functional teams and influence decision making within executive-level audiences, and lead execution against recommendations quickly and with flawless accuracy.
- Support Go-to-Market strategy and execution, including assessing country dynamics and country and user specific requirements.
- Perform deep analysis on market dynamics, technology trends, user behavior, competition that could help drive product strategy.
