This position reports to the game design team and will be in charge of developing new game concepts. At Sqkii, we are open to ideas from all members of the team, and we invite the trainee to discover wild ideas on this journey of honing their capabilities and developing skills that drive real significant business value to our company and the industry. The trainee will be working with the game design team to develop unique and engaging game concepts.
**Trainee to be involved in**:
- Analysing the best games in the industry with comprehensive research methodology and reporting findings to the team.
- Developing effective game design strategies that can achieve stakeholders’ objectives without compromising on fun.
- Performing extensive playtesting at all stages of development in order to fine-tune game mechanics, balance game economies and observe player behaviours.
- Documenting game mechanics in a structured manner to communicate your game design vision effectively to the rest of the team.
- Working with developers, copywriters, UI/UX designers and other stakeholders to produce high-quality games.
**The trainee will be trained**:
- To gain experience in developing effective game design strategies that can achieve stakeholders' objectives.
- To gain experience in conducting playtesting sessions at different stages of development.
- To gain experience in copywriting and some UX designing skills.
- To learn how to communicate their game ideas/visions clearly and effectively on a game design document.
