**The position**

By joining our team in Marketing, Midstream & Processing you will have the opportunity to:

- Act in compliance with Equinor’s shipping policy and procedures and Charter Party requirements.
- Be responsible for commercially efficient ship operation e.g.:

- Sending documentary instructions.
- Manage operational and logístical planning of the vessel
- Perform vessel clearance and manage cargo documentations.
- Manage cargo operations and ensure commercial optimization throughout the deal life cycle.
- Manage and operate a terminal and perform blending requirements for the trading bench.
- Ensure efficient coordination related to our light ends / middle distillate product shipments, in close interaction with traders, charterers, peer operators and other support functions both internally and externally.
- Be responsible for proper documentation, correct and timely inputs of operational information into relevant IT systems. Participate in the Duty Phone setup on rotation.

As our Commercial (Cargo) Operator you will be working with; oil tankers, ship owners, terminals, customers, agents and more, covering logistics and transportation of oil cargoes worldwide, in close co-operation with our traders, charterer’s and other operational units. We perform our operations in a dynamic, global set-up with operational teams in Norway, Singapore, UK and US. In this role you will become a is a member of the Asian operational team with the responsibility of supporting the West to East arbitrage and regional trades of crude and oil products.

- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime, Economics, Logistics or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in handling cargo shipments of any oil commodities, preferably from an oil, trading or a shipping company. Prior experience of trading operations is an advantage.
- Blending experience in hydrocarbon products such as gasoline or gasoil is preferred.
- Strong commercial knowledge and experience in cargo operations, including technical understanding of managing products such as gasoline or gasoil, operating an oil terminal and managing STS operations etc.
- Extensive knowledge and experience from East of Suez including the Asian markets is preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen with a record of a value adding approach.
- Adept at multi-tasking in a dynamic commercial environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong IT skills. Proficient in using IT technology and IMOS shipping system. Knowledge of IMOS voyage handling system is preferable.
- Fluent in English both written and verbal.
