For its Coal Trading business, our client is looking for:
**Position**:Manager - Commercial & Operation - Coal Trading

**Job Code**:EXP/MNGR-C&O/Coal/SG/0723

**Location**:Singapore

**Responsibilities**
- Preparation of Purchase contract, Sales contract, and their amendments/addenda, as required.
- Direct interaction with global suppliers for discussing on draft LCs, negotiating of required terms and conditions; opening the L/Cs; and sending shipping/documentary instructions to the suppliers.
- Follow-up with suppliers for obtaining draft shipping documents; and checking and confirming back to them. Similarly, validate Purchase Invoices received from the suppliers.
- Liaise with charterers for B/L related matters. Good understanding on switch B/L process.
- Issue Proforma Invoices generated from SAP to buyers for arranging draft L/Cs.
- Ensure all documents are presented to Bank for clean presentation.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree from reputed university.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in Commercial and Operations functions in high-volume global trading corporations
- Exposure to Coal, Iron Ore, or Minerals preferred.
- Experience in handling suppliers/buyers from ASEAN, South Africa, Australia, USA, Europe, South Asia, China, and Korea preferred.
- Strong knowledge of trade documents for coal and related commodities, especially country-specific requirements (of Indonesia, China, India etc)
- Hands-on knowledge of terms and conditions of various formats of L/Cs, UCP and ISBP.
- Knowledge of trade finance, banking, shipping and insurance procedures/requirements.
- Knowledge of various coal index reports.
- Hands-on experience of using SAP.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of Asian languages (Mandarin, Bahasa, Vietnamese and/or Korean) would be helpful in dealing with counterparts in different Asian countries.
- Self-driven. Result-orientated. Strong interpersonal and team management skills.
