Functional Responsibilities
- Manage P&E claims from beginning to end process (first notification to settlement, if necessary, recovery aspect).
- Assignment of loss adjusters / surveyors to conduct investigation on our behalf, if necessary.
- To have a curious mind to understand the circumstance of loss to handle and progress claims.
- Strong / Reasonable technical knowledge and experience in handling P&E claims and able to demonstrate a thorough / sound understanding of policy wordings, clauses etc.
- Participate in continuous improvement across the region through support for the Quality Assurance / Regional Audit processes.
- Able to effectively follow up on recommendations from technical claims audits and continuous file handling improvement.
- Align mindset with the team to maintain adherence of best practice protocols for P&E claims, consistent with global best practice.
- Demonstrate high level of competency with the use of paperless systems and e-filing of documentations into electronic folders.
- Any other projects / tasks which may be assigned to you from time to time.
Accountabilities
- Good customer service skills and ability to react in reasonable time to decisions to reduce indemnity exposure, ensure excellent customer engagement and delivering the best outcomes.
- Financial control via consistent reserve and other financial transaction discipline.
- Able to negotiate with customer (verbally and written), conduct problem-solving skills and identify the potential blockage / issue during the claims process and have initiate resolution / suggestion to P&E Team Manager.
What we are looking for
- Minimum Diploma holder, preferably in a related field such as engineering and construction background, with BCP & ComGI certification.
- Mid-level experience will be an advantage.
- Expert and/or Sound knowledge of policy coverage and associated benefits and exclusions.
- Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation
- A plus point to have experience in claims adjustment, negotiation, and relationship management skillset.
- Well-developed expertise and knowledge in P&E claims topics are an advantage
- Display good communication in both written & verbal, interpersonal skill, networking, influencing, and negotiating skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal.
- Time management - ability to manage & priorities workload and diary management.
- Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment and with internal/external stakeholders at all levels.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight datelines.
