[What the role is]
DEPUTY / ASSISTANT MANAGER, BUS ASSETS (ASSETS PRESERVATION MANAGEMENT)
[What you will be working on]
You will assist in the oversight of Public Transport Operators (PTO) to ensure proper maintenance of Government-owned buses in accordance with prescribed maintenance framework as well as support audits of PTO maintenance regime to ensure high standards of bus reliability, availability and safety. You will also ensure proportion of bus fleets for regular audits and conduct of on-site inspections as well as follow up on non-compliance. Beyond these, you will lead Operator’s transition inspection, handover schedule and manage any issues brought up by operators.
[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical / Electronic / Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in service, repair and maintenance of buses
- Possess broad understanding of all mechanical / electrical / electronic systems related to all types of buses with experience in planning, organizing and supervising total vehicle maintenance program
- Familiar with hybrid / electric vehicles topologies
- Experience in the public bus or related industry would be advantageous
- Possess good interpersonal skills and relates well to all levels of staff, suppliers and customers
- Possess excellent leadership, analytical, planning, execution, problems solving and communication skills
- Communicate effectively in terms of strong written and presentation skills with an eye for details and is IT savvy
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer
