Job Purpose

The staff will actively work together with the team in areas of cashflow projections, cost modelling, budgeting, analysis and monitoring of income and expenditure.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist the team in day-to-day finance operations, prepare periodic reports and ensure key deliverables are submitted to the respective stakeholders in a timely manner.Track and analyze monthly projections versus actuals and perform budgetary controls.Demonstrate effective communication at all levels to ensure clear financial reporting and adherence to approved budgets.Identify and communicate potential budget deficits and to recommend measures and solutions for evaluation.Provide financial advice for finance related projects.Ability to simulate using detailed financial/business modelling and analysis.Liaise with the Office of Finance to ensure compliance with university requirements and guidelines.Continually review work practices, procedures, and framework for better operational efficiency.Identify potential issues in the financial processes and controls; to proactively raise the issues and solutions to the management for their consideration and action.Ensure good documentation and sound processes are in place for annual audit and internal controls.Participate in ad-hoc projects where necessary.Qualifications

University degree/ professional qualification in Finance/Business/Accounting.3 to 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting environment.Financial management/accounting skills are essential.Good interpersonal skills and demonstrate good track record of working with stakeholders.Strong data analytical skills (cost benefit analysis) and report writing skills.Highly proficient in MS Excel and Office.Good working knowledge in Power Query is an added advantage.Excellent communication skills, with fluency (spoken and written) in English.Good organizational, planning and customer service skills.Demonstrates energy, drive, determination, and persistence.Good working knowledge of SAP, SAP HANA and Public Sector Procurement Framework will be an advantageMore Information
