
Catering Manager

**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for generating ideas by researching, planning, designing, creating, and implementing changes to constantly refresh the Inflight products and services.
- Analyse and understand customer's perception of value through internal and external feedback, and competitor evaluation to for designing and developing new products and services.
- Plan changes to the product and service (Food and non-food) offering by leading cross functional teams in planning, competitor research, benchmarking, designing, and trialling new initiatives.
- Lead, plan and organise, with internal stakeholders (Inflight Services Development /Lounges/Procurement) for periodic F&B Promotions inflight (e.g. special occasions, festive periods, dish/drink of the month, chef's recommendations, etc.)
- Stay abreast with the latest and developing F&B trends in global food and service and hospitality industry, by attending related conferences, fairs, etc.
- Conduct research and trials with valued customers/stakeholders (internal and external,) to gather feedback on new product/service innovations to gauge success and recommend future action for both Inflight experiences.
- Design and develop the SIA food brand with the partners, by holding regular workshops, presentations, etc.
- Responsible for F&B Costs Management, Effective cost & fund management of catering budget for inflight, without compromising on quality and standards.
**Requirements**:
- Culinary Degree or Relevant Culinary Experiences in Senior Culinary Leadership role
- At least 8 years experience in premium hospitality industry, with management position, developing food and beverage products.
- Expertise in Modern & Authentic Regional Cuisines (including Western, Oriental & Indian Meal), with Design & Development in In-Flight Service/In-flight Catering is a plus.
- Experience in high volume catering environment is advantages (eg. Institutional, Stadium, Cruise Line, Banqueting)
- Must have extensive knowledge of global food and trends, product, and service delivery concepts.
- Creative and lateral thinker with visionary foresight, who is self-motivated and proactive.
- Ability to generate new ideas and to combine existing elements to create new sources of value.
- Effectively lead cross functional teams in developing and enhancing product and service offering.
- Excellent organisational skills and project management knowledge. Other languages besides English: Hindi/Cantonese/Chinese Mandarin, preferred but not essential.
