Regional Head of Cash Equities Technology, Asia

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage/develop multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) as well as ensure team adheres to best practices and process Develop vision for team around roles and responsibilities, and structure team to ensure greatest impact, efficient use of resource, and alignment to business structures
- Prepare and present regular team/project reviews to senior management and business leaders
- Drive the design and development of system architecture, work with end-users of the systems, and enhance the quality of deliverables Ensure staff follows Citi documented policy and procedures as well as maintain desktop procedures and supporting documentation for filings on a current basis and in comprehensive manner
- Monitor and manage approach/end results, budgeting, planning, policy formation, and contribute to future strategy of the area(s)
- Ensure change is managed with appropriate controls, documentation, and approvals including implementation of new and revised regulatory reporting requirements
- Research and resolve issues, provide recommendations, and escalate to senior management as needed
- Lead and deliver local staff forums, present global, regional, and location news and updates to engage team in the progress of organization
- Contribute to defining and implementing best practices and processes for the department and ensure transparency and consistency across teams

**Qualifications**:

- 15+ years of relevant experience
- A strong track record of Team leadership
- Recent experience working within an EE Technology Team or developing low-latency solutions is preferable
- Experience designing and developing distributed systems

**Technical must have**:

- Understanding of computing science fundamentals
- An appreciation of processes and tools designed to produce well-written, low defect rate code - CI/CD, TDD, Dev Ops
- Java, including low latency techniques
- Experience of a wide range of technical solutions and the ability to identify appropriate technology approach, including build vs buy decision making.
- Experience of system design and detailed specification down to code level, in order to meet business requirements
- Ability to collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate business problems into technical designs

**Technical good to have**:

- KDB/Q
- Messaging, Caching, Database experience

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
- Partner with Asia Cash business to understand and define the platform strategy and plans
- Consult with technical leads and business to develop the technology roadmap for Cash Equities and communicate it openly with all team members
- Strengthen the relationships of trust between the various teams in Cash Equities technology, business, product technology and Production Support. Build consensus, encourage collaboration, emphasize high quality communication.
- Strengthen the Cash Equities technology teams:

- Build a permanent team for next generation low latency platform
- Build a permanent team to maintain, re-engineer and ultimately drive decommissioning of legacy software
- Strengthen the existing dev team in order to support the increasing electronification of the Equities and stability of Cash Equities trading businesses
- Support the existing development teams in enhancing software quality
- Strengthen the testing teams
- Build a new permanent DevOps team Encourage git pull-request workflow, supporting a contribution-based model across all platforms so that any team member with aptitude can contribute changes to any platform, for review by the platform owner.
