Castlery is looking for a savvy, experienced **Head of Category Management** A new position, this senior leadership role will lead and develop our category management team, set the strategic direction and priorities for our product range, and create a winning assortment that embodies Castlery's brand, while driving growth and profitability.

This role will be a key figure in shaping and executing our product and merchandising strategy, with a truly global impact on Castlery's brand and business outcomes. They'll be expected to enhance our category portfolio, driving portfolio optimisation, product direction, and pricing strategy improvements. They'll need to work closely with a range of stakeholders, including, but not limited to, our buying, commercial strategy, and data teams.

**What you'll be doing**
- You'll ensure the overall portfolio represents the true spirit of Castlery.
- You will develop and implement product development strategies whilst encompassing a holistic approach covering strategic demand planning and supply-side dynamics.
- You will lead and develop a revenue management strategy, with consistent pricing and promotion tactics which support long term profitable growth across markets.
- You will monitor external market developments and competitive activities as key inputs to Castlery's product strategy.
- You will be the key stakeholder in making sure forecasts are in line with activities such as category product launches, campaigns, and any other demand drivers.
- You will develop OKRs for the success of Castlery's category management team. You will ensure reporting and analytics translates into actionable insights to drive business, as well as flag risks, making sure we have the most attractive mix of products.
- You will attract, lead, inspire and develop employees, ensuring business continuity and talent growth within the category management function.

**What you'll need**
- At least 6 years' experience in category management in the US furniture and home furnishings industry, preferably with a strong familiarity of the buying process as well. Keen understanding of the current US furniture and home furnishings market, with knowledge of existing competitors, and their brand position and value proposition. Experience in defining category strategies, whilst still maintaining hands-on approach to working with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a highly ambiguous, dynamic growth environment, with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Pro-active, 'can do' mentality combined with a track record of successful execution of strategies and activities.
- At least 2 years' experience in leading and managing a team of at least 2 direct reports.
