About GLOBALFOUNDRIES:
Summary of Role:
Highly motivated Tapeout/System Enablement Engineer to work in Solution for NPI Optimization (SNO) reporting to Fab7 Yield Enhancement Organization, based in Singapore. This role requires a close working relationship and collaboration with internal teams, Process Owner (PI), Product Engineer (PE), Metrology, Modules and Global Tapeout Operations (GTO), to provide exceptional tapeout services and automation solution in the increasingly complex and competitive world of wafer manufacturing.

Essential Responsibilities
- Work with global teams to enable automation solution in Fab domain
- Develop new and maintain/enhance existing automation systems
- Support and maintain the databases used to store/manage Tapeout data
- Support in the area of layout analyses using EDA tools/languages
- Create and maintain web portal as a handshake between end users and Fab automation outputs

Other Responsibilities:

- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and/or Computer Science
- Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics
- Strong background in Unix scripting/programming (Python/Tcl/Bash, etc.), database (MySQL/MongoDB, etc.) and versioning control system (git/cvs, etc.)
- Familiarity with EDA tools such as Siemens/Calibre DESIGNRev, Cadence Quickview/CPA, and such
- Experience in web design (using Django) is a plus
- Experience in Machine Learning and/or cloud computing (Amazon Web Services) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

- Strong ability to learn and explore new technologies, opportunities, and continuous improvement.
- Should be flexible as a Team Player and motivated as an Individual Contributor - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to interact effectively with both external and internal customers at all levels and from various cultural backgrounds.
