Vital Strategies was incorporated in Singapore in 2017 as a regional hub for the Asia Pacific region. Working alongside governments and partners, we develop and implement targeted, evidence-based programs in critical areas such as air pollution, civil registration and vital statistics, data impact, Partnership for Healthy Cities, sustainable urban mobility, and road safety from India to Indonesia to the Solomon Islands. With more than 50 employees and consultants in the region, Vital Strategies Asia Pacific hub is well-positioned to create partnerships with policymakers, administrators, the media, and civil society groups in order to build capacity and advance public health throughout the region.

**The Position**

The Communications and Partnership Officer is a growth opportunity position for an individual with a few years’ experience in communications and public relations. With direction from the Regional Director and support from the Policy, Advocacy and Communications (PAC) team, the Officer will support effective program communication tailored to the region and help highlight our portfolio through media outreach, social media presence and engagement opportunities. The Officer will also support the Regional Director and program teams to cultivate and maintain stakeholder relationships and support business development strategies across Asia Pacific. Working under the guidance of the global PAC team, the Officer will be responsible for the development and delivery of communications that increase the visibility of Vital Strategies’ work to staff, partners, external stakeholders, and media. The Officer will work closely with the global business development unit and the India office team to support communications and partnership needs for business development in the Asia Pacific region. Only applicants who are legally authorized to work in Singapore will be considered.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Business Development and Partnership Management**
- Compile all regional relationship management and business development-related information in collaboration with the global business development team including current and past partners & clients, their detailed contact information, key project outputs (thematic), and potential future opportunities as mentioned/listed in program documents/reports/recommendations
- Work alongside partnership teams in Paris and India to identify business development opportunities and contribute to execute BD strategies for specific countries across the region and manage a calendar of grant and award submissions.
- Develop drafts of presentations for partner outreach, compile reports for external business development and networking meetings, submit grant and proposals as needed.
- Organize monthly business development team meetings and de-briefing as well as professional development events and activities.

**Communications**
- Working collaboratively with the Policy, Advocacy, Communications (PAC) team, draft compelling content including press releases, op-eds, statements, social media content, key messages, marketing materials, and other collateral as needed.
- Draft, create and send regional external newsletter via Mailchimp and internal newsletter via Outlook
- Create and maintain relationships with reporters in the region
- Proactively identify speaking and thought leadership opportunities for Vital team members including serving on panels, speaking at events, podcast interviews, op-eds, interviews and blogs.

**General**
- Provide support to managers in the supervision of interns.
- Any other duties as directed by the Regional Director.
