**What the role is**

DEPUTY DIRECTOR, TRANSPORT RESEARCH

**What you will be working on**

You will be a key member of the management team under LTA’s Technology & Industry Development Group. Leading the team under the Transport Research Division, you will spearhead the development and implementation of Open Innovation within the land transport ecosystem comprising keen partners from industry, academia, and other government agencies. You will lead the team to work with internal stakeholders like our Rail, Public Transport, and Traffic & Road Operations Groups in LTA in driving and curating relevant content for the Land Transport Innovation Portal. This aims to promote a better appreciation of LTA’s needs, so that our partners can be encouraged to develop scalable and cost-effective solutions either through ground-up efforts or directed call for innovations. You will also be managing and administering funding schemes with the team to support the open innovation activities.

**What we are looking for**
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant fields such as engineering, technology development/management, system integration, etc. Other qualifications may be considered together with related working experience in technology related open innovation work.
- At least 8 years of relevant working experience in leading roles within diverse teams on collaborative work. Prior management experience (for example: staffing, budget/finance, etc.) in running a setup (for example: division, department, etc.) is preferred.
- The critical skills to be an effective advocate and influencer is essential, as well as the ability to develop positive working relationships across all levels and functions with both internal and external stakeholders, amidst a fast-paced and fluid environment.
- Strong command of English as well as good critical thinking, writing and presentation skills.
