**Context of the position**

Haskoning Singapore Pte. Ltd. delivers consultancy services for various engineering disciplines through our business lines Water&Martime, Industry&Buildings, Transport&Planning and Digital. The Business Line Water is recruiting a Lead Coastal Climate Adaptation Engineer specialized in maritime & coastal engineering and climate adaptation for projects in Singapore.

With the growing order portfolio of climate adaptation, coastal engineering and flood resilience services in Singapore, the Business Line Water wishes to hire a Lead Coastal Climate Adaptation Engineer to act as senior Team Leader. This person is to lead large and complex climate adaptation projects. The Lead Coastal/Maritime Engineer will report to the assigned Project Director, who is overseeing the overall budget and progress for these projects.

**The job**

The role’s responsibility is to provide senior expertise on coastal climate adaptation, coastal engineering as well as having a role in the technical feasibilities studies and design services related to our coastal, maritime and climate adaptation projects; this includes the interaction with multi-disciplinary project teams (with members in various countries), ensure the quality and planning are met according to the client’s expectations, and providing knowledge transfer of coastal and climate adaptation issues.

The Lead Coastal Climate Adaptation Engineer is expected to successfully:

- Show thought leadership in his/her field of expertise;
- Provide top level floor risk, coastal adaption and coastal engineering services
- Provide technical guidance to the multi-disciplinary project teams;
- Monitor the quality, planning and budget of the projects under his/her responsibility
