Job Title: Coastal Hydrodynamics Expert

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Coastal Hydrodynamics Specialist to lead and support coastal and climate-risk related projects. The successful candidate will have expertise in modelling and consultancy, with the ability to develop and implement complex climate adaptation solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in coastal modelling, with experience in developing, calibrating, and validating models for various software (e.g. Delft3D, SWAN, SWASH, MIKE, XBeach).

Key Responsibilities
  • Executing and managing consultancy projects related to coastal projects and real-time control applications within projects
  • Preparing technical reports and presentations for projects

The successful candidate will be able to communicate and present ideas clearly within and outside of their domain, with a solid understanding of coastal hydrodynamics and marine/coastal processes.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in relevant fields (Environmental/Civil engineering, Water Resources Management), or Master's degree in Numerical Modelling
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience

You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
