Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Coastal Engineer to lead and support coastal and climate-risk related projects, providing expert consultancy, engineering, and design input for substantial and complex climate adaptation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate leadership in coastal engineering and climate adaptation
  • Promote innovative coastal engineering design methodologies
  • Utilize experience with coastal engineering to address climate risk, particularly flood risk
  • Provide top-level expertise in coastal engineering, adaptation, and land reclamation
  • Guide multi-disciplinary sub-project teams and junior consultants

The successful candidate will have over 8 years of experience in coastal engineering and climate adaptation projects, holding a relevant academic background in Coastal Engineering or a related field. Experience in land reclamations and coastal modeling is advantageous.

The role requires proficiency in geospatial data processing and modeling using tools such as Microsoft Excel, R, and Python, as well as knowledge of numerical modeling tools like MIKE, Delft3D, and similar software. Flood modeling experience is also necessary.

Requirements:
  • Familiarity with geospatial data analysis and visualization tools
  • Expertise in numerical modeling and simulation
  • Experience in leading project teams and supervising junior consultants

This position will be based in Singapore, working from our office or partner offices. Flexible arrangements can be made while meeting project requirements and client needs.
