This is a Team Manager (College) position where you are expected to lead a team in the management of all credit-bearing internship programmes and Work-study Degree Programme for eligible students within the college of your responsibilities.
You will be supported by a team to be responsible for all internship and Work-study Degree Programme placements for your designated college and to ensure that all students can successfully complete their internship programme and achieve the required learning outcome.
**Responsibilities**:
Programme Operations and Customer Service Management
- Co-ordinate and prepare the internship programme ahead of every semester to ensure that they are ready for eligible students to register and find placement for their internship.
- Monitor and manage all student’s internship placement outcome; and to ensure that all necessary placement administration requirements are appropriately updated.
- Drive internship placement and ensure that students able to complete their internship successfully and if required to provide support in resolving any internship issues encountered by the students.
- Ensure all internship assessments are duly completed by end of internship and the marks for grading submission is processed by the team.
Business Development & Stakeholders Management
- Engage key stakeholders such as students, faculties and internship partners/companies.
- Engage stakeholders to ensure provision of necessary support such as drive internship opportunities from employers.
- Co-ordinate with colleges and schools to enable student placement in internship; and communicating internship to all eligible students.
Team Management
- Provide managerial support to team members to ensure successful student internship placement; ensure that they are adequately resourced for the responsibilities.
- Collaborate, partner, and work with intra-teams to drive optimal operational performance.
Strategy Management
- Improve work performances and outcome for the team; look for new ideas and ways to improve work outcome for the team.
- Plan and co-ordinate activities for work improvements either within the team or with other work teams; and adopting technologies to help enhance work outcome.
**Requirements**:
- At least 4 to 6 years working experiences with exposure in team management role, internship/training management and service delivery experience preferably in tertiary education, adult education sectors and/or government agencies environment.
- Have some prior experiences in managing projects or any initiatives within a team, and/or across different teams in an organization.
- Experiences in providing career coaching and/or consultation support would be advantageous.
- Successful track record in the management of internships/ cooperative education/ work-study degree programme/ workplace learning/ performance enhancement or adult education highly advantageous.
- A good understanding in the areas of business development, customer services management, business operations and use of data to support decision making.
- Able to work with diverse groups of stakeholders.
- Able to lead a small operational team of 2 to 4 persons.
- A proficient written and oral communicator.
