
Assistant Manager, Work-integrated Education

The Assistant Manager Work-Integrated Education (WIE) is a key member of the team that manages all internship matters for the assigned colleges and/or schools. At this position, the incumbent is responsible for the following areas.
**Responsibilities**:
Programme Operations and Customer Service Management- Support the Manager and/or Senior Assistant Manager to manage and/or curate to maintain currency of approved Work-Integrated Education (WIE) programmes (whether academic or non-academic).- Support to create and/or curate all internship campaign(s) for programmes managed by the team with supervision by designated Manager.- Monitor to ensure that internship opportunities are sufficient enough to meet students internship demand.- Arrange event activities to inform students about internship and procedures on internship.- Manage end-to-end WIE processes of assigned internship programme(s); and to ensure effective and efficient completion of students WIE programme requirements in a timely manner.- Constantly monitor internship placement progress and pre-emptively address issues that could pertain to successful internship placement or completion.- Resolve any internship related issues arising from either students and/or internship employer(s) within their programme.
Business Development & Stakeholders Management- Actively engaging with current and potential employers (and any relevant stakeholders) to garner relevant internship opportunities.- Assist in planning and arrange suitable work-integrated education initiatives with respective schools to reinforce workplace experiential learning. Provide support to schools during implementation when required.- Assist in planning and organizing events and activities according to programme needs; and to constantly review and to report on event progress.- Provide a contributory support function in implementation of innovation whether for system, processes or services to help effect changes across WIE.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized University.- At least 2 to 4 years working experiences with exposure small team supervisory and/or management role, internship/training management, customer services and service delivery experience preferably in tertiary education, adult education sectors and/or government agencies environment.- Have some prior experiences in managing projects or any initiatives within a team, and/or across different teams in an organization. Able to work with stakeholders of diverse requirements.- Successful track record in the management of internships/ cooperative education/ work-study degree programme/ workplace learning/ performance enhancement or adult education highly advantageous.- A proficient written and oral communicator.
