**PURPOSE**
The primary purpose of this role is to lead the Broker distribution strategy and to develop and implement business plans to deliver sales and service excellence that drives profitable growth, including the leadership of our regional operations and strategic account management and relationship functions, custodianship of broker segmentation and broker loyalty initiatives.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Accountable for development and execution of the Broker sales / go to market strategy and business plan, to set and deliver on profitable growth targets.
- Provide strategic management of the Broker Distribution area by taking an enterprise view of Allianz Commercial.
- Deliver and report on the strategy and business plan for the Broker Distribution area and take ownership of business performance.
- Provide sales leadership and capability development, and strengthen the sales interface with Underwriting and Customer Services teams resulting in distribution excellence.
- Oversee the broker and customer segmentation strategy, identifying needs and pain-points and maintaining a “fit for purpose” operating model.
- Delivering market leading sales capability and talent by creating, leading and effectively managing Distribution Management and Broker partnership teams.
- Lead Relationship Managers in the development and management of strategic partner relationships to foster trust, improve customer satisfaction and position Allianz Commercial as a preferred Insurer.
- Establish and execute an account management model, ensuring customer growth in preferred segments and effective and efficient sales operational plans are in place.
- Define and develop broker value proposition and drive broker loyalty through broker and customer insights, incorporating this information into the broker sales channel and segmentation strategy and develop initiatives to pursue growth opportunities.
- Develop and monitor new business lead generation, market delivery of all offers and closures, in collaboration with Underwriting and Claims.
- Implement and maintain an Operating Rhythm framework that closely monitors the critical activities in the business to drive outperformance across key Financial, People, Customer Efficiency and Effectiveness and Risk and Compliance metrics.
- Oversee Allianz Third Party Distribution model (3PD) governance and compliance.
- Manage key Broker events, market delivery of sales programs, campaigns and associated collateral.
- Lead and coach team members to develop capability, build high performing, collaborative and engaged teams, enabled by robust talent development plans, balanced performance priorities and role descriptions.
- Understand global best practice, customer segment, trends and insights to develop a compelling vision, strategy and plan that put the best interests of our customers at the heart of everything we do
- Embed a sustainable, agile and adaptable risk-aware culture through thought leadership and role modelling desired behaviours to take ownership of risk and compliance for the designated business area.
- Any other tasks, duties, responsibilities or projects, as assigned by Regional CEO, Global Head of Distribution Management or similar authority.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Tertiary degree in Business, Insurance or a relevant discipline.
- Significant experience in leading sales and large key account portfolios in the insurance industry.
- Demonstrated and comprehensive knowledge of Underwriting operations, industry practices, governing legislation and the general insurance industry.
- Extensive experience empowering people to realise their highest potential by recognising and developing individual and team performance and building talent pipelines to safeguard current and future organisational needs.
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing competitive and breakthrough business strategies aligned to the organizational vision and purpose.
- Demonstrated strong decision-making capabilities to work through complex issues in a methodical and timely manner.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering strong business results by overcoming obstacles and setbacks.
- Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders, external partners and suppliers to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes.
