Regional Fulfilment Operations Manager

The New Business Units (NBU) division comprises some of the most exciting and enterprising teams at Ninja Van. Building on Ninja Van’s existing capabilities, we experiment with new ideas to develop innovative products and services that enhance our core business and help us serve our clients, partners and end-customers better.
- We are looking for an experienced operations leader to launch, scale and manage operations for Ninja Van’s Warehousing and Fulfilment vertical across our key SEA markets. As the owner of the Operations P&L for the Fulfilment Business Unit, you will be responsible for setting up operations in new markets, operationalising new capabilities and solutions, building and implementing best-in-class warehousing and fulfilment systems and processes, overseeing day-to-day operational performance, and leading the drive towards cost and operational leadership.

**Strategy and Expansion**
- Define strategic objectives and set annual / quarterly targets that align with broader goal of achieving cost and operational leadership, and ensure strong execution through working with local operations heads
- Launch operations in new markets, which includes hiring and training, warehouse evaluation, layout planning, process design and system implementation

**Operational Excellence**
- Oversee end-to-end ideation and execution of strategic initiatives to improve operational and cost efficiency across markets, including automation and space optimisation

**Performance Management**
- Develop a best-in-class fulfilment operations playbook with standardised SOPs on warehouse organisation, process design and system implementation to improve speed, accuracy, efficiency, cost and scalability, and work with local operations heads to ensure successful implementation
- Oversee day-to-day operations across SEA, working closely with in-country operations heads to ensure consistent operational quality and achieve / exceed KPIs and SLAs
- Ensure a high level of visibility over warehouse operations across multiple markets

**Product and Systems**
- Define product roadmap and drive system improvement initiatives with internal and external stakeholders as the WMS Product Owner

**Solution Design**
- Lead discussions with Commercial and Product teams on operational feasibility and cost structure of customised solutions for new customer segments or strategic customers, with full ownership over execution

**Responsibilities**:

- Own targets relating to SLAs, operational efficiency and cost efficiency
- Work with regional and in-country stakeholders to develop regional and country-level operations execution plan
- Share responsibility for operating margin targets across the region, and drive improvement through optimisation of resource planning, allocation and efficiency of usage
- Build end-to-end efficient and scalable B2B and B2C warehouse operations flows, including layout plans, processes and SOPs
- Work with in-country team (fulfilment country launchers and fulfilment warehouse managers):

- Launch B2B and B2C fulfilment warehouse operations across multiple markets, ensuring that warehouse operations processes and SOPs are tested and validated before launch
- Post-launch, be responsible for consistent execution of warehouse processes and adherence to agreed SLAs
- Define key performance metrics to be tracked, and build analytical frameworks and tracking mechanisms / dashboards to analyse performance, identify problems and drive improvements
- Conduct in-depth, data-driven review of processes to optimise end-to-end warehouse operations processes to achieve cost and efficiency improvements
- Develop and implement larger-scale initiatives to improve operational performance such as racking and automation
- Scope and build operational requirements and processes for launch of new initiatives, including B2C fulfilment

**Requirements**:

- 8-12+ years of relevant experience; with at least 5 years of experience managing warehousing and fulfilment operations focused on e-commerce or omni-channel fulfilment
- Prior experience taking on full responsibility and/or P&L ownership of the opera
