Telenor Procurement Company (TPC), established in 2017 and headquartered in Singapore, operates as a subsidiary of the Telenor Group. We deliver Global Category Management as a service to the Telenor Business Units, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end Sourcing process and performance of global spend categories. Functioning as one Global Procurement team across all Telenor markets, we enable Telenor’s strategic ambitions by becoming a centre of expertise in the pursuit of efficient operations. TPC seeks qualified procurement professionals that are comfortable working in a global setup in the fast-paced Telecom field.
As Category Specialist for OEM, you report to OEM Category Director and work closely with both Telenor corporate functions and all of the business units. You will be supporting the OEM Category Director to develop strategy, help in identifying opportunities and commercial benefits. Your key responsibilities will be:
- Perform deep market and industry analysis and help define vendor strategy
- Support category specific activities, including but not limited to: Fact base development ( **monitor and anticipate key market trends, **spend analysis), **vendor management, benchmarking, negotiations, contracting, business case development.
- Assist the development of category strategies across the Nordics and Asia, as well as being part of the team executing these strategies, including day-to-day interaction with internal stakeholders and the supplier to ensure successful and optimal commercial partnerships.
- Collaborates with peers in other Telenor business units and Group Functions to secure benefits from Telenor’s global scale
- Supports all activities within the procurement organisation and regularly report on key category metrics
- Support periodic contract negotiations and monitor the contractual performance of existing agreements
- Co-ordinate sourcing activities with local markets and group functions
- Prepare necessary documentation for management approvals
- Identify business risks related to role, highlighting to leadership and work towards mitigating risks in best manner
**Profile**
To succeed in this role, you have to be passionate about technology and electronic consumer equipment as mobile handsets and a wider portfolio or IoT consumer devices and accessories. As the category spend and suppliers are located across all our markets you would need to have to interact across organizational and cultural boundaries with a positive can-do attitude and the determination to deliver promises to the business.

**Qualification Requirements**:
- More than 2 years in a procurement / contract management / vendor / negotiations / supply chain management role or as functional expert in the Retail Consumer Device space.
- Awareness of the device vendor market, ideally with experience from the operator or vendor side
- Bachelor degree preferably in business administration, finance, supply chain or equivalent
- Experience with common data processing tools, e.g. Excel, Power BI, etc.
