**Job Description Summary**: Responsible for the delivery of GE Power Conversion (GE PC)projects, resulting in successful customer outcomes and profitable GEPC execution. Oversight of activities related to the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning on customer site, from site mobilization, through civil, erection and commissioning works, as well as management activities related to this scope. Must have the ability to form effective working relationships with Customers, other Team Members and third-party suppliers to ensure the project goals are achieved.

The Asia Projects Leader will be responsible for a geographical portfolio that includes China, North, South and East Asia.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- The Project Leader is accountable for project goals throughout project life cycle. Ensuring compliance with GE Commercial Procedures at all times, with safety and EHS compliance at the forefront of every aspect of the project.
- Be the primary point of contact for the Customer on each project, building a strong and effective Customer relationship achieving a high level of customer satisfaction and serving as a basis for repeat business.
- Drive financial metrics related to successful completion of assigned projects, including registering, compiling, submitting and negotiating extensions of time, extras to contract and other claims as appropriate
- Identify actions to contain project costs supporting execution needs.
- Manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and related contingency plans.
- Manage, Control and Prevent project risks through the entire project life cycle and drive resolution of risks
- Manage negotiation with customers, partners and sub-contractors
- Coordinate with internal functions for resolution of quality issues driving customer centricity.
- Fulfillment of tasks for assigned projects and manage the execution and associated activities for on time delivery of projects.
- Coordinate for completion of site activities through resources/contractor designated in accordance with contract requirements and company policies pertaining to EHS and Compliance practices.
- Management & mentoring of the regional project resources within Power Conversion.
- The Projects Leader is also responsible for ENTIRE scope of site activities during project execution phase, where is necessary, the Project Manager has to be stationed onsite till entire project is successfully handover to the client. Leads site team and manages execution of the project scope of work. Could also be managing multiple sites for the project. Ensures schedule, quality and cost are in compliance with contractual obligations, company policy and local regulations.
- Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of market/industry and the factors that differentiate them in the market

**Required Qualifications**
- At least 10 years’ experiences in Oil&Gas and Marine industry with relevant experience handling EPC projects, preferably in with OEM/EPC’s in Electrical Industry.
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written
- Experience in report writing and formal letter communication
- Possess skill and experience in dealing with Professional Clients, Consultants and Contractors,
- Ability to travel when required.
- Experience in the use of industry project schedule and resource planning techniques and software (MS Projects, MS Office-Excel, Primavera and SAP).
- Good working knowledge of contract administration - technical, legal, and commercial
- International PM Certification (like PMI or IPMA)
