Responsible for the establishment of a fully documented project quality system in line with the Corporate Quality Manual requirements, ISO14001 & ISO 9001 to latest company certified standards, covering environmental, design, health and safety, construction, installation & pre-commissioning.
- Ensure that work is carried out fully in accordance with the project quality standards specified in the contract and that the procedures laid down in the project quality plan are followed to achieve these standards
- To review the QA/QC documents submitted by the contractor such as quality plan, Inspection & Test Plan (ITP), WPS & PQR, WQTs, quality related specification and test procedures.
- To review, witness, monitor and check the WPS & PQR and Welders Qualification Test records, and witness Qualification Test by contractor To critically review all non-conformance reports, defects reports, and then organize and manage the corrective action required to rectify the non-conformances.
- Maintain a project quality audit schedule to ensure effectiveness of the project quality system
- Check contractors’ purchase and requisitions & evaluate vendors’ & contractors’ quotation with regards to inspection matters as applicable
- Implement the QA / QC management system at site & coordinate with quality inspections with all the contractors & vendors including coordination with non-destructive testing company
- Coordinate with customers’ representative on all quality matters, distribute relevant QA / QC work & documentation to site QA / QC team & contractors
- Verify and ensure that quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes & standards
- Participate in internal & external site audits & coordinate all the quality site inspections through the site QC Inspectors / Supervisors
- Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and completed for as-built hand over.
- Control all non-conformance reports and undertake remedial actions. Complete site quality control instructions & action remedial responses
- Ensures compliance of the company’s SOPs, Quality, HSE policies & code of business ethics to eliminate non-conformance & re-works
- Performs any other duties as and when assigned by the company.
- Subject to availability in view of duties above, to perform work supervision at site work if require as cover duty basis (refer to site supervisor/RTO JD)
