The M&O Asia function is the center of excellence for regional cross-business execution marketing, performance, strategy & planning, and sales operations. The team helps scale execution, operationalize business & sales programs, drive business strategy, sales, and partner transformation that accelerate Microsoft’s business objectives locally.
The Business Program Management function is the center of excellence for cross-business execution performance and planning. The team helps scale execution, operationalize business & sales programs, and drive business, sales, and partner transformation that forward Microsoft’s business objectives.
The Business Program Management Lead (BPM Lead) is the manager of the BPM team, responsible for orchestrating the commercial execution plan and delivering business insights to enable the regional strategy and business operations. In partnership with the M&O (Marketing & Operations) Leader, and working across MCAPS (Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions), the BPM Lead is responsible for our regional business rhythms, operation insight and market intelligence to enable Microsoft Asia to scale, improve, standardize, and accelerate our business, sales, and partner field organisations.
The key BPM Lead responsibilities are:
- Orchestrating Business Planning
- Coordinating planning communications across Sales, Marketing, and functional teams
- Managing and Driving Insight into Business Performance Reviews via Rhythm of Business (RoB)
- People Management
- Driving and accelerating regional culture transformation
**Responsibilities**:
**Lead regional planning and leadership business rhythms**
- Enable on-strategy performance through high-quality regional Planning deliverables that maximizes opportunity and supports execution to meet business targets
- Streamline regional leader Rhythm of Business (RoB) that accelerates performance and drives accountability by underlining corrective action for non-performing Scorecard Metrics
- Partner with senior leadership across Asia areas to simplify and optimize aligned key reporting and operational rhythms
**Accelerate Performance with Business Insights & Field Enablement**
- Provide Business insights and Field Enablement that accelerate Performance and support the RoB (Rhythm of Business) including pipeline, annuity, consumption, usage, customer adds
- Provide data-driven insights about sales execution, based on standard reporting, to help address performance blockers across customer adds, consumption, usage, pipeline, scorecard and annuity
- Provide leadership with key insights into regional market intelligence
**Enable Culture Transformation**
- Enable culture transformation that drives MCAPS productivity gains by supporting selected Change Governance and Landing initiatives
- Monitor MCEM and Business Performance Management (BPM) adoption via Rhythm of Business and represent the voice of the field with Corp
**Measures | KPIs**
- Area Revenue and Scorecard targets
- On-time and on-strategy Sales operations outcomes, including Pipeline Health
- MCEM adoption
- WHI and Employee signals scores
**Key Outcomes**
- Builds and manages a world class business program management capability
- Regarded by the regional and Area leadership as a transformational leader, driving execution, growth & deep insights
**Role Time Allocation**
- Work with M&O, Segment, and Business Group (BG) teams to align, manage & scale cross-Area, Rhythm of Business, planning, and cross-business operational functions (50%)
- Accelerate Cultural Transformation landing and supporting Change programs locally (40%)
- Build and Lead people and the BSO Team: drive people management and internal readiness (10%)
**Qualifications**:
- 10+ years of project/program management experience and/or strategic business planning experience
- Ability to work and build strong relationships with senior managers and executives (required)
- Intermediate to advanced conflict resolution and negotiation skills (required)
- Deep understanding of business and sales operations
- Understanding of the Asia regional IT market
- Advanced oral and written communication skills, planning, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and negotiate & collaborate effectively
- Must be highly analytical with the ability to understand business metrics, financial, customer, and market trends
- Desirable qualifications include formal training in business strategy, sales operations, business operations, sales, marketing, project and process managem
