Senior Supply Planning Executive

This position shall be responsible for ensuring the successful performance of the supply and delivery chain for the assigned portfolio of products within the region as part of the Above Market Planning (AMP) Hub. The incumbent will participate in Global and Regional forums as the regional point of contact for the assigned portfolio. He/she will also drive improvement initiatives related to supply & inventory management to support the achievement of commercial goals for the region and markets in scope.
- Accountable for Supply Assurance of assigned product portfolio (typically larger and/or more complex portfolio than Supply Planners)
- Accountable for Inventory planning and coordination of inventory deployment for assigned product portfolio
- Support completion of Product change lifecycle management activities requiring supply input
- Develop and maintain relationships with Manufacturing Sites, serving as a point of contact to clarify any queries or action plans related to assigned products
- Represent region in plant S&OP for assigned portfolio of products
- Drive completion of supply-related or other assigned improvement initiatives
- Share accountability with Supply Planning Manager to drive the resolution of escalated issues

Supply Assurance (for assigned product portfolio)
- Continuously monitor and ensure product supply of assigned product portfolio to represented markets
- Proactively identify supply risks by updating the supply outlook
- Drive communication and resolution of supply issues with stakeholders using standard processes (e.g. e-alerts, weekly calls with market/plants)
- Escalate risks to AMP Supply Manager and Regional Supply Leads as needed (based on urgency, impact, and complexity )
- Proactively understand demand drivers and supply implications from forecast changes
- Partner with AMP Supply Manager to drive:

- Resolution of escalated risks with stakeholders
- Resolution of escalated issues in Supply chain agreement (SCA)
- Changes in transportation mode

Inventory management and deployment (for assigned product portfolio)
- Develop inventory targets and budget for assigned products
- Drive continuous optimization of inventory and working capital
- Analyze inventory performance versus budget and develop action plans to achieve targets
- Perform root cause analysis of inventory deviations vs. targets and of inventory drivers and define improvement plans
- Minimize inventory write-offs. Monitor and manage inventory shelf-life/expiry dates, and actively improve processes to avoid obsolescence write-offs
- Ensure in-market inventory is actively managed and expired or short-dated stock is appropriately, securely, compliantly, and expeditiously disposed of on a physical and financial level
- Develop and negotiate SCA (supply chain agreement) with stakeholders
- Coordinate pre-shipment and support post-shipment issue resolution with Intercompany Operations(I/O) or market teams as required

Product change management (for assigned product portfolio)
- Proactively and continuously support product change activities (new launches, line extensions, Artwork changes, discontinuations, loss of exclusivity, etc) securing achievement of business objectives, service levels, costs, and working capital requirements

Point of contact for Sites
- Serve as point of contact to manufacturing sites for any questions related to supply issues, resolution plans, inventory for an assigned set of products

Education
- Tertiary Qualified in a Supply Chain / Logistics / Operations Management related role
- Sound knowledge of principles and strategy for Sales Forecasting / Demand and Supply Planning.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and analytical skills
- APICS training/ certification preferred

Language requirement
- English required

Experience

Minimum 5 years of working experience in Supply Chain related fields (planning, scheduling, procurement, logistics, customer service, or demand management) with at least 3 years of experience in a planning role, preferably in the pharmaceutical/ chemical industry

Technical skills:

- Exhibit understanding of pharmaceutical industry commercial dynamics, trends, and regulatory processes
- Exhibit understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations and end-to-end global product flows
- Exhibit strong knowledge of legislation, market practice, and understanding of local Logistics market business environment (LSPs, transport)
- Exhibit an understanding of Sales/Commercial/Marketing functional areas and the dynamic interactions with the Supply Chain function
- Participate in continuous improvement projects related to Leadership of cost, operations, and business improvement projects for Logistics & Supply processes
- Participate in ERP/System implementations
- Support the implementation of new business/distribution models
- Posses experience and exposure to business finance
