The ISEAS - Yusof Ishak Institute is a leading research centre dedicated to the study of socio-political, security and economic trends and developments in Southeast Asia and its wider geostrategic and economic development. Applications are invited for:
Assistant Manager/ Manager, Human Capital
You will be part of a team that lead, manage and promote best human capital practices within ISEAS to attract, develop and retain talent. You will play a key role in the review and implementation of HR policies and frameworks to foster a motivated and high-performing workforce in areas such as learning and development, talent management and development, staff well-being and engagement.
Your key responsibilities include:
- **Learning & Development **- Design and develop capability building initiatives, such as competency-based frameworks, training roadmaps and training grants, to align with the strategic directions of ISEAS and build a culture of continuous learning. Through learning and change management, you will support the development of digital culture and skillsets to build a digitally savvy workforce. You will also oversee training administration including course registration, scheduling and monitoring of participation and evaluating programme effectiveness.
- **Scholarships **- Manage annual Masters/PhD scholarship cycles, scholars engagement and review scholarship policies and practices. You will develop and implement initiatives to strengthen engagement with scholars and enhance ISEAS scholarship programmes.
- **Internships**:
- Oversee bi-annual internship cycles, to reach out to students and forge partnerships with academic institutes to develop talent pipeline for ISEAS.
- **Staff Well-Being & Engagement**:
- Plan and organise Institute-wide initiatives to champion employee health and well-being, and to promote esprit de corps and cross-departmental collaborations. This includes coordination of Townhalls, Cohesion Lunches and well-being initiatives such as corporate health screening, fruits day and workshops/talks. You will also review and enhance relevant frameworks and programmes supporting employees’ physical, mental and social health.
- **Awards**:
- Plan and administer annual awards in the Institute, which comprises the National Awards, Long Service/Special Appreciation Awards and ISEAS Awards with the objective to recognise and appreciate exemplary officers/partners and celebrate success of individuals/teams who achieve ISEAS’ mission.
**Requirements**:
- Tertiary education in Human Resource, Psychology, Business Administration or related disciplines
- Keen interest in people development, competency modelling, learning and leadership development methodologies and digital learning
- Highly adaptable, able to simplify complex processes and multi-task in a dynamic and changing environment
- Independent, self-driven and proactive team player
- Good communication, writing and interpersonal skills
- Experience in public service sector will be an advantage
