Get to know the Role:
Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, this is a newly created role to support the expansion into regional markets, with significant growth potential. This strategic role is pivotal in value creation, and will drive the data strategy roadmap and prioritization, identify key partners, own and manage the data partnerships, and finally execute the contracts.

Day-to-Day Activities:

- Build deep relationships with strategic data partners and collaborate with business teams to identify key data partnership opportunities across the region and be the key point of contact for all new external opportunities.
- Responsible for creating frameworks, policies and processes governing data exchange, data sharing and data acquisition across the region.
- Responsible for the oversight on data management and governance of data assets, and data protection requirements, thereby ensuring that policies and processes are implemented across the region.
- Collaborate with the in-country Head of Data Governance and Data Protection office to leverage on data governance and data protection frameworks respectively in measuring data cost and usage and consequently data partnership valuation.
- Establish a central metadata repository for external data that can be leveraged across the organization, leveraging Data governance frameworks and policies.
- Oversee the implementation of data acquisition, exchange and operationalisation.
- Identify, mitigate and resolve all risk and compliance matters.

The Must-Haves:

- At least 12 years of experience in a data-centric/intensive environment at a data intermediary, software-as-a-service, fintech or top tier consulting firm.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering partnership projects with tangible value.
- Familiarity with data governance, data protection requirements and banking laws for financial services in the region.
- Self-motivated individual, problem solver and critical thinker, who is comfortable and thrive in a VUCA environment.
- Ability to build excellent relationships, rapport and credibility with both internal (product, customer experience, analytics, risk, finance, compliance) and external stakeholders (including senior leaders), and excellent communication skills.
- High attention to detail with strong project management skills
