**Micron **is hiring for a **Director of Strategic Sourcing, Semiconductor **. This position will be based out of **San Jose, CA **. Relocation will be provided.

As a director you will lead category supplier managers to oversee the sourcing strategies of NAND Flash controller. You will own the development and implementation of category strategies and projects related but not limited to cost reduction initiatives, supply assurance, make/buy strategy, and contract negotiation. You will maintain close interactions with business partners to ensure category-related needs are addressed.

You will establish and monitor performance metrics to identify and implement continual improvement opportunities. You will collaborate with internal partners to deliver strategic solutions and coordinate approach to key strategic suppliers.

You will drive supplier selection process and business engagements, including pricing, business models, capacity, yield, and related supplier management aspects with In-depth understanding of cost structures and “should cost” analysis for silicon or assembly packaging/test, including PPA (i.e., power, performance, area) with respect to process technology nodes to ensure optimal total cost of ownership for our products.

Responsibilities include ensuring department compliance to company policies, audits, and regulations, as well as departmental procedures. You will provide leadership for building and implementing department strategies, processes, and policy through active oversight of functional teams and projects, and mentor functional leaders through collaboration and the development of sustain-ably successful solutions. You will also be responsible for conveying corporate business initiatives, providing direction thereof, and driving a clear understanding of line of sight within your department.

**Qualifications**:

- 15+ years of experience in process integration/engineering and customer-supplier management in ASIC houses, fabless, OEM, Silicon Foundry or OSATs.
- Experience negotiating complex business agreements.
- Excellent understanding in semiconductor topics (e.g., technical, operations, commercial) and its macro-market landscape.
