**About the Role**
We are now looking for an individual to take ownership of developing and executing a scalable approach to our Commercial business in SEAK region including sales development and go-to-market strategies. This role is a people manager and will have opportunities to manage and develop individual contributors and 1st line managers. This position will report directly into the Vice President, SEAK region.
**Key Deliverables**
Build Commercial sales growth engine by increasing VMware's footprint a consistent, sustainable set of programs that leverages all RTMs e.g., through industry & solution sales plays, scaling through partners.
Deliver success through key client segments including a) Active Accounts b) Dormant Accounts and c) Acquisition accounts working within discrete segments and coverage supporting each subsegment
Drive thought leadership in the market, establishing credibility for VMware through e.g., meetings with key Customer Executives, presenting in industry events.
**What You’ll Do**
- Lead and support the commercial sales team (C1 and C2) to build territory plans to achieve coverage for all solutions across all accounts/territories and consistently exceed revenue goals. Partner with the commercial sales team to drive relevant programs in developing pipeline, accelerating pipeline and driving revenue growth.
- Leading the Inside sales team and build a sustainable and consistent performing business across SEAK region.
- Commercial business GTM planning and sales strategy through working with APJ stakeholders to adapt and drive VMware GTM strategy within SEAK
- Collaborate with Country Managers in SEAK region to support GTM planning and sales strategies for growing commercial business in individual countries.
- Collaborate with APJ commercial leader to leverage the global programs for developing commercial business and to ensure alignment to global commercial GTM strategy.
- Work with VMware marketing teams to present an industry point of view and as well as VMware’s value proposition to the industry sub segments
- Utilize experience to document use cases and scenarios for use by VMware product teams. Help the team to understand and leverage the use cases to develop pipeline.
- Work closely with Inside Sales Pre-Sales team, Specialist teams and regional teams to coach and support demand generation activities
- Develop joint case studies with customers, and drive customer reference ability.
- Engage closely with partner teams to leverage ecosystem value across customer lifecycle applicable for each play.
- Develop and/or influence budget proposals and business cases as required to support in market requirements.
**Who We Are Looking For**:
- Depth of experience in running mid to large sized sales organizations including experience in field sales roles.
- Strong customer-facing and executive presence, coupled with strong relationship building skill
- Strong business insight and strategic sales skills
- A holistic and detailed understanding of IT and how technology can accelerate business growth whilst also being vulnerable to security threats and breaches
- Business Strategy & Planning
- Financial aptitude with excel business case modeling, budget development and partner financials understanding.
- Strong consultative mind-set and ability to uncover business challenges
- An understanding of strategy, industry, and market concepts (e. g. TAM, Competition)
- Experience in designing/driving complex projects, programs, and processes at scale
- Excellent intellectual and analytical skills - ability to structure problem statements and be the catalyst for uncovering new ways to solve problems. Prior management consulting, business development, or strategy & planning experiences are desired.
