**Job Description**:
**The role**:
**MyRepublic Group** is looking for a self-motivated individual that is keen on learning the business of building new, transformative technologies into our products & services, our processes and everyday ways of working.

A Technical Support Engineer is generally hired by a company to oversee and maintain their computer hardware and software systems. Their skills assist the company in resolving technical issues concerning customer's accounts or company software infrastructure. A Technical Support Engineer will also support computer software integration by diagnosing and troubleshooting common problems. Employees holding this job title generally begin in IT or IT Assistant roles.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Technical support personnel on site during office hour to ensure smooth operation and on-going support of the data centre.
- Perform re-installation of software or Operating System if the problem reported by the user is diagnosed and ascertained to be a corruption of the software or Operating System.
- ** Troubleshooting problems**:

- Desktop and Mobile Device Operating Systems.
- Standard Application Software such as Microsoft Office and Office 365, Microsoft Skype for Business with Enterprise Voice, Internet Explorer, Antivirus etc.
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Engineering Application software e.g.MicroStation from Bentley, all Autodesk products including Revit and AutoCAD, etc
- Site-specific software such as commercial software or in-house developed software System
- ** Web browsers**:

- Accessing Internet and the organisation’s Intranet websites
- Computers and Mobile Devices
- Peripherals such as printers, multifunction devices, projectors, video conferencing equipment, Lync phones, plotters etc
- Accessories such as smart card readers, scanners, modems, connectors etc
- Coordinate and replace certain components in the hardware when required e.g. replace faulty graphic card or mouse, replace loose cables etc.
- Rectify simple faults such as cleaning of disk drives, jammed laser printers, virus scanning and removal, reconfigure the Desktop Computer setup such as BIOS and CMOS settings etc.
- ** Test and evaluate new desktop/workstation/notebook/mobile devices as and when required.**

**Qualifications**:

- An undergraduate pursuing a Polytechnic diploma/ Bachelors programme in IT, preferably in the second/third or final year of studies
- Self-starter with a Get-Things-Done attitude
- Resourceful and learn independently
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Be able to speak clear and good conversational English and as well
- Possess good telephony skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Highly adaptable with the ability to work well across departments

- Experienced working in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Experienced working with partners on commercial deals and collaborations
- Expertise/understanding of the Telecommunications industry
- Proficient in the Google Workplace
