- Manage and lead a team of motor surveyors providing guidance, coaching and support to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the operation and performance of the motor surveyor team.
- Review and evaluate motor survey reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to company guidelines and policies.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, regulations and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate changes.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as repair workshops, salvage merchants and vehicle dealers to ensure accurate and timely information for assessments.
- Collaborate with other departments such as claims and underwriting to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of the motor surveyor team.
- Manage and resolve escalated customer inquiries and complaints related to motor surveying.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on departmental performance including key metrics and findings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and legal requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements technologies and best practices in motor surveying and insurance industry.
**III. Role Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in an automotive-related field or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in motor surveying preferably with a focus on automobile insurance claims.
- Proven experience in managing a team with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of vehicle assessment techniques, repair procedures and valuation methods.
- Excellent knowledge of insurance policies, regulations and industry standards related to motor surveying.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using computer software and tools for motor surveying and data analysis.
- Ability to handle a high volume of work and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Customer-oriented mindset with exceptional customer service skills.
