**A day in the life of a National Category Development Manager..**

You will lead a team of 10 members and lead the channel thinking of the commercial team in category development, promotion management and Point of Purchase development, to develop and implement channel strategies with a horizon of 6 to 36 months. You will be responsible for Channel Management, Annual Strategic Planning and Cycle Activity Planning & Implementation, and perform Channel and Category reports and analysis of commercial and market research data. You will be responsible for developing & implementing the Point of Purchase strategies and standards for each Channel Category, incorporating the four POP Drivers and Shopper Ownership through route to market.

**Strategy Infrastructure**:

- Support Channel Strategy, Shopper Insight, Channel Database, Channel Sales Strategy and Route to market.

**Annual Strategic Planning**:

- Lead the Integrated Commercial Planning process delivering rolling 18 months commercial plans.
- Support strategies & standards within the framework and execute POP strategies delivering TTS efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop Annual Activity Plan and manage Channel Trade Spend and support Route to Market/ distribution plan.

**Cycle Activity Planning & Implementation**:

- Develop Customer Cycle Activity Plan and Channel/ Customer Activity Budget Plan
- Support Channel/ Customer Strategy Implementation
- Develop plans to improve distribution & customer service level
- Support Category Management Projects with retailers

**Monitor and Review Results**:

- Support Promotion Management, including Channel/ Customer Promotion Mechanics
- Develop Channel/ Customer Development
- Regular review of promotion effectiveness
- Improve Customer Service Level and Execute & Optimize Trade Terms.
- Support Channel/ Customer Strategy Implementation
- Develop plans to improve distribution & customer service level
- Support Category Management Projects with retailers

**What will make you successful**
- Bachelors’ Degree with 7 years of Commercial/ Category Development Managerial experience within sales, marketing and/ or trade marketing functions
- Experience in training: Customer Management Best Practice, Foundation of Strategic Category Marketing & Total Trade Spend Strategy
- Demonstrated business planning & implementation skills (Project Management)
- Demonstrated team management skills
- Possess strong communication, stakeholder management & presentation skills
