Airswift is currently looking for a **Certified Welding Inspector** that has related project experience on long-subsea tunnel, pipe laying and large excavation construction. The role is to represent as a project management company for Construction Supervision on behalf of PUB.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Responsible for **overseeing all the activities and duties of the welding staff and ensuring welding work within the set quality and deadline specifications**.
- Carry out air test for welded pipe and certify it’s integrity.
- Ensure that the technical requirement for all welding activities are correctly specified and carried out as per relevant code, client specification and applicable standards.
- Establish propose Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and qualification, prepare new Procedure Qualifying Records (PQR) for project through third party certification and client specification.
- Perform piping inspections as required with established procedures.
- Liaise with third party surveyors and client inspectors regarding welding activities to improve quality.
- Coordinate with Engineering/production on materials special/specific requirements during procurement.
- Assist in the review of vendors welding documents to check their compliance to project specification and relevant code requirements.
- Prepare weld consumable cost estimation and liaise with stakeholders on purchase for projects.
- Plan and manage deployment of welders.
- Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.
- Performing other duties or tasks as assigned by the immediate superior or HOD.

**Qualification Requirements**:

- **Minimum 8 years’**
- Minimum an ITE or diploma or relevant field specialization or training certificates

**Certification required**:

- Certified NDT level II
- Certified CSWP 3.1 or 3.2
- American Welding Society (AWS) certification of welding inspection at the Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) level or TWI certification of CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspection Level 2; or its equivalent.
- Good knowledge on NDT methods.
- Experienced on long-subsea tunnel, pipe laying and large excavation construction.
- Knowledge of local authority requirements would be an added advantage

**Project/Assignment Details.**
- Working location: Site Office (Jurong Island) transport provided from nearest MRT (Clementi/Boon Lay)
- 5,5 days’ work per week (8 hours during weekdays; 4 hours on Sat)
- Off in lieu provided if work on OT.
- 24 months contract renewable
- Salary to the individual max SGD 5500 per month (SGD 66k per annum).
