Key Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspection of welds in accordance with applicable standards, codes, and specifications.
- Verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and ensure compliance with WPS.
- Monitor welding activities, including materials, consumables, and equipment used.
- Conduct dimensional checks and fit-up inspections prior to welding.
- Review and maintain inspection records, reports, and documentation.
- Identify welding defects and recommend corrective actions.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and QA/QC teams on welding-related matters.
- Conduct various class surveys based on class requirements especially for ABS, DNVGL & Lloyd's etc.
Requirements:
- CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector.
- ASNT / PCN certification or its equivalent (PT, MPI, UT, UTG, RT & RTFI).
- Master's degree in any discipline
- Fluency in English and Ms office, AutoCAD software.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- 15+ years of relevant working experience.
- Proven experience in welding inspection within construction, fabrication, or oil & gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (AWS, ASME, ISO, API, etc.).
- Ability to interpret welding drawings and specifications.
- Good communication, reporting, and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
