**About the Job**:
Trelleborg Singapore is looking for an excellent Quality Assurance Welding Inspector to join the Quality team. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for general supervision of the manufacturing inspection and test functions at every stage of the manufacturing process.
- Read drawings and work instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies
- Ensure that all welding work is accordance to weld map and welding procedure and specification.
- Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspection before, during and after welding to ensure compliance.
- Co-ordinate with external 3rd party or client for NDT inspection.
- Liaise with 3rd party inspector or client in steel and welding inspection.
- Prepare vital inspection reports related to project requirement.
- Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.) as per guided by Quality Manager and customer requirements.
- Conduct blasting and painting inspection accordance to painting procedure and customer’s specification.
- Prepare and submit of welding documents, incoming inspection report, traceability report, painting documents and dimension reports to Quality Assurance Manager for approval and review.
- Ideally Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, or an equivalent field. Desirable to be a Certified with a Professional Certificate of CSWIP 3.1/AWS.
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector or relevant role, preferably with experience in NDT
- Strong Project Management skills
- An excellent teammate able to work well with all levels of people across various regions and cultures
- Good problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Good time management, proactive and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong project and vendor leadership skills
- Possesses high level of integrity with good work ethics
