Establish technical capabilities through scientific insights, analytical methodologies with data interpretations and provide technical mentorship to coach staff, students or researchers as required.
Work as a part of large cross-functional analytical team in developing cutting-edge characterization capabilities that support internal R&D projects and external industrial problem statements.
Foster strong partnership, proactively build and manage relationships with both internal R&D and external key industry stakeholders to promote stronger collaborations.
Strong focus and compliance with health, safety, and environment requirements (laboratory safety, general housekeeping, chemical storage, waste disposal, etc).
Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with various project stakeholders, both internally and externally, through routine updates, written reports and/or meeting presentations.
Some knowledge in electronic laboratory information systems that connect with analytical data handling or workflow projects will be an advantage.
**Job Requirements**:
- PhD in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, related fields, or related fields
- 1 to 3 years of relevant postdoctoral experience or equivalent
- Strong team player with initiative, good communication and writing skills.
- Strong scientific paper publication track records preferred
- Ability to work independently, adapt to priorities and perform under mínimal supervision
- Strong analytical knowledge, driven and self-motivated to resolve technical issues
- Strong experience and background with advanced analytical techniques in areas of spectroscopy, microscopy and crystallography
- Forward looking in anticipating changing new requirements and priorities for a research environment
- Willing to work on Jurong Island (Shuttle-buses are available at various locations)
